Event description

Description

Engaging with and involving our publics in research, throughout the whole research cycle can enrich the quality and the impact of our research. It also facilitates the enriching of lives on local, national and global scales – which rightfully is a part of our University’s identity and culture.

Academic staff are warmly invited to a new workshop designed to explore how public engagement with research can deliver as a pathway to impact, how to plan for it and how to capture it through effective evaluation.

This workshop will include case studies and perspectives from academic speakers in each of the three faculties. Some of the speakers have significant experience of participating in research funder’s panels, so perspectives from the funder’s point of view will also be discussed.

Coffee & tea will be available from at the end, to allow for networking and informal discussions.

Your feedback will be requested afterwards, to help to inform and shape future activities to support academic staff.
