Description

On Friday 26 January 2018 the Royal Historical Society will launch its programme of sesquicentennial events with its Public History Prize Awards Ceremony. Inaugurated in 2015 and offered in partnership with the Historical Association and the Institute of Historical Research’s Public History Seminar, the Prize includes awards for Museums & Exhibitions, Film & TV, Radio & Podcasts, Online Resources, and Public Debate & Policy. The 2018 awards also include two new prizes: one for undergraduate and one for postgraduate work in public history, broadly construed.

The awards will be presented by Samir Shah, Chief Executive and Creative Director of Juniper TV and Chair of the Geffrye Museum. Drinks and canapes will be served from 19:00, with the award ceremony commencing at 19:30.
