Public Inquiry breakfast seminar - Tuesday 27 September

Join our Public Inquiry specialists Daniel Irving, Barrister, and Francesca Reason, Solicitor, for a breakfast seminar on Tuesday 27 September.

The Public Inquiry into the Covid-19 pandemic, to be chaired by the retired judge Lady Hallett, has been set up with a wide-ranging remit to investigate the UK response. Following extensive consultation, the Inquiry’s final terms of reference have now been published and, as anticipated, they promise a comprehensive examination of the public health and economic response as well as an investigation into the unequal impact of the pandemic. In particular the Inquiry will focus on the preparedness, and impact on, the following sectors:

- NHS and wider health sector

- Care sector

- Education

- Social housing

- Travel industry

- Prisons

- Local Authorities

Daniel and Francesca, who represent a core participant to the ongoing Grenfell Tower Inquiry, will provide an insight into what we can expect the Covid-19 Inquiry to investigate, which types of organisations might expect to receive a request for evidence and/or disclosure and what they can be doing now to prepare, and what participation in the Inquiry process looks like.
