Description

Paul Jennings, Chief Executive Officer, NHS Birmingham and Solihull Clinical Commissioning Group will be delivering a seminar at the University of Wolverhaampton titled 'Marketisation of Health Care, Fact or Fiction?’

As one of the longest serving CEO’s in the NHS and responsible for one of the largest Clinical Commissioning group’s in the Country Paul is uniquely qualified to explore the myth and reality of the market in Health Care in the UK.

Paul was born, raised and educated in Birmingham. Paul brings 40 years of NHS experience, nearly 20 of which were as a Chief Officer or Chief Executive. He has led a wide range of NHS organisations, as well as being recognised both regionally and nationally for his work. This has included: perinatal services; critical care; renal and transplantation services; services for older people; and chairing a number of clinical networks and task groups to deliver improved services. Paul was made a Fellow of the Faculty of Public Health by Distinction in 2010.
