Want to find out more about dementia and the research taking place in your area to better understand, diagnose and treat the condition? Join us on Monday 15 January to hear talks about the latest research and have your chance to put your questions to the experts.
Supported by Alzheimer's Research UK, researchers from Universities of Bournemouth, Southampton, Portsmouth, Brighton and Sussex are coming together to share their findings and start discussions around dementia research with interested members of the general public.

19:00: Fundraisers: why and how they do it. Chaired by Rebecca Futrall, Alzheimer's Research UK.
An opportunity to hear from a selection of inspiring and passionate fundraisers who are all dedicated to raising vital money and awareness to power future research into dementia. Rebecca and James from ARUK will also be here to tell you how they can support your fundraising plans and ideas and answer any questions you may have.

Who should attend?
Are you a carer for someone with dementia? Have you or a family member or friend been recently diagnosed with dementia? Do you want to find out more about the diseases that cause dementia? This meeting is likely to be of interest.
The venue is accessible, the event is free to attend and this will include refreshments.
What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?
The conference centre offers free parkig on site during the event. Guests should enter through Gate 1 off St Andrews Road and park in Car Park B, C or D. Parking is on a first-come, first-served basis and cannot be reserved. See link below for reference.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
It is helpful if you do, as it will enable us to manage numbers.
Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends?
Yes, if you have signed up but can't attend do please pass the ticket on to another interested party.
Will there be more information about Alzheimer's available on the day?
Alzheimer's Research UK will be present on the day with a small stand with more information for people interested in finding out more about the condition and the activities of the Charity.
