San Francisco, California
London, United Kingdom
Organised by Dr Jasmine Gideon (Birkbeck) and Prof. Elaine Unterhalter (IoE, UCL)
The workshop will provide an opportunity to engage in debate and extend the research agenda with collaborative partners. Participants include academics, policy makers and practitioners working around the question of PPPs. The keynote speaker will be Alicia Ely Yamin from the Harvard School of Public Health.
The workshop will focus around a number of key questions
1. How have new partnerships between public, private and third sector development organisations considered aspects of women’s and girls’ rights in health and education initiatives?
2. How have these new partnerships impacted gender relations and aspects of power in the countries and communities in which they work?
3. What structures of audit and regulation are there between the three sectors (public/ private/ third sector) that put rights and equality more centrally?
Please contact Dr. Jasmine Gideon (email@example.com) for further details.
