The Ego Media Research Group and the Centre for Life-Writing Research

IDENTITIES ONLINE
The first of two public round tables with distinguished international speakers discussing hot topics in digital research and online practices.
Topics include writing pain; feminism; gender and sexuality; identities in gaming and social media; public and private in online lives; self-curation; online professional profiles and the post-human scholar.
Speakers include Leigh Gilmore (English Department and Pembroke Center for Research on Women, Brown University); Julie Rak (Professor and Associate Chair (Graduate Studies), Department of English and Film Studies, University of Alberta) and Sidonie Smith, (Mary Fair Croushore Professor of the Humanities and Director of the Institute for the Humanities, University of Michigan), among others.

The 'Identities Online' and 'Voices and Ethics' round tables are organised by the ERC-funded project 'Ego Media: The impact of new media on forms and practices of self-presentation' (2014-2019) at King’s College London.
