Explore the latest scientific evidence and understanding of the crucial role that sleep plays in your health.

This unique programme provides a natural, evidence-based approach to enhancing your mood, memory, energy, productivity, immune system, weight loss and more.

INTRODUCTION

Sleep is still a largely neglected area of our health. The latest scientific research soundly refutes the commonly held belief that ‘sleep is a waste of time’ and that more can be achieved by sleeping less without major repercussions for an individual’s health and well-being, not least a shortened lifespan.

Without proper sleep, every aspect of a person's life suffers adverse consequences.

Poor sleep affects your ability to think clearly and process information effectively. This especially influences mood and emotions, increasing the likelihood of conflict with others, withdrawal from participation in daily life and work-related activities.

It has been shown that a lack of sleep can contribute to workplace absenteeism, lack of engagement, reduced job satisfaction and can lead to a potential increase in the risk of accidents, as well as impacting creativity, concentration, productivity and an individual’s resilience against work-place stress.

For those who experience sleep problems long-term, there are well-established links to the development of more serious health problems such as obesity, heart disease, diabetes, dementia, chronic fatigue, anxiety, depression and every other formal psychiatric diagnosis.

Contrastingly, the science demonstrates that when you are well-rested you experience better physical, mental and emotional health that leads to several improved outcomes including enhancing your mood, memory, energy, productivity, immune system, weight loss and more.

In this cutting-edge practical workshop, we will explore the latest evidence-based understanding of sleep, including how you can achieve better quality and longer sleep through simple and effective changes to your daily habits.

WHO IS THIS PROGRAMME APPROPRIATE FOR?

This course is especially beneficially for those who experience sleep difficulties.

The definition of this term is highly subjective; if you do not achieve at least 7.5 hours of sleep most days of the week, the information provided in this course will have a hugely beneficial impact on every area of your work and personal life.

“Scientists have discovered a revolutionary new treatment that makes you live longer. It enhances your memory and makes you more attractive. It keeps you slim and lowers food cravings. It protects you from cancer and dementia. It wards off colds and the flu. It lowers your risk of heart attacks and stroke, not to mention diabetes. You’ll even feel happier, less depressed and less anxious.”

- Professor Matthew Walker, “Why We Sleep”
