Public speaking (Classroom)
Overview
Being able to present arguments clearly and confidently is a key skill for any union representative. Union representatives are encouraged to speak not only to their employer but at union meetings and conferences. To do this well, union representatives are encouraged to attend training that will allow them to develop this skill.
This course will aim to do the following:
· Develop skills on how to write speeches.
· Demonstrate the ability to speak confidently.
· Practice public speaking.
· Understand the procedures in trade union meetings and conferences.
This is a 2 day course split over 2 days - 9.30am-4.30pm.

Also, please be aware that only UK based residents, whom have confirmed that they are a union representative from an affiliated Trades Union Congress (TUC) trade union can apply to attend these courses.
