Event description
A walk and talk about Oxford's waterways and their connection to pubs

About this Event

Mark Davies, a local historian with a particular interest in Oxford’s waterways, will share his knowledge of historic connections between city pubs and the canal. This twilight walk and talk will start at the Lighthouse and finish in the cosy Study in the Oxford Retreat with a drink and time to warm up.

We know the cost of this ticket is more than the advertised price, however using this fantastic booking website comes at a cost. We are passing on the handling fee so that you have the choice to book in advance and avoid disappointment on the day.

Please meet Mark at the Lighthouse pub 10 minutes prior to the beginning of the walk. Remember to wrap up warm. The walk will last last approximately 30-45 minutes, followed by a talk in the Study of the Oxford Retreat. At the Retreat, your ticket can be exchanged for a drink (bottled beer, house wine or soft drink).

This talk is part of our 'Pubs and Breweries' events all to help raise funds for the new Museum of Oxford. You can also help by supporting our Crowd Funding campaign - more information can be found on our website.

You must be over 18 to attend this tour.
