DN Festival of Light Introduces a ticketed intimate evening of performance: ‘Pulse’

6:00pm – 6:25pm: Performances from local poets comprising of local writing groups.

6:35pm – 7:00pm Raymond Antrobus with BSL interpretation from Dave Wycherley.

Raymond Antrobus is the 2018 winner of the Ted Hughes Award for his collection The Perserverance. In 2019 he also became the first ever poet to be awarded the Rathbone Folio Prize for best work of literature in any genre. Other accolades include the PBS Winter Choice, a Sunday Times & The Guardian Poetry Book Of The Year 2018 and a Griffin Prize shortlist.

This unique collaboration, in the monumental setting will resonate with all who attend

7:15pm - 8pm: Billy Read featuring students from Doncaster’s Communication Specialist College in a totally unique performance of “We are the Revolution” based on a series of workshops, in collaboration with Deborah Pugh, a Movement artist (BSL level 2.) Billy and his team will transform the Minster into a night club and create an atmosphere for their street dance performance.

8:00pm - 10pm – “Tectonic” is open to the public.
