This workshop is for RESIDENTS OF DEAL onlyGet into the autumn spirit with our Pumpkin Art Party a fun, family-friendly workshop where you’ll:
- Make your own no-sew squishy pumpkin
- Decorate a colourful 2D pumpkin decoration
Who is it run by?
This relaxed and light-hearted session is led by local community artist Becky Vincer, an experienced children’s workshop facilitator who has worked with schools, youth clubs and family groups for many years. Expect spooky tunes, fun games, and plenty of opportunities to get creative together.
Who is it for?
- Designed for families with children aged 6 –11 years old.
- Younger and older siblings welcome, please supervise little ones, especially with scissors and small craft items. Bringing an extra toy or activity might help keep them busy.
- Parents and carers must stay – this is a shared family activity, and we’ll have materials for adults too!
Practical info
- Cost: Free for Deal residents, generously funded by Deal Town Council.
- Snacks: Drinks and biscuits provided, please let us know about any dietary requirements or allergies in advance.
- What to wear: Fancy dress welcome! (We’ll be in our witches’ hats.) Please note art materials can be messy and may stain. Aprons will be provided.
- Access: The workshop will take place on the ground floor. The venue has a disabled toilet. If you have any other questions about accessibility, please get in touch.
- Inclusion: We’re happy to adapt activities to meet neurodiverse or additional needs. Please get in touch if you’d like to discuss how we can best support your family in advance.
- Venue: St Andrew’s Church Hall is a 7-minute walk from Deal train station. Please use the nearby car parks, as the church’s car park is reserved that day.
Booking
Please book a ticket for every person attending. E.g. 1 adult and 2 children = 3 tickets. Spaces are limited due to room size and materials. If you book and can no longer attend, please cancel promptly so another family can join.
