Event description

Description

Supper Clubs at The Exchange are back for the autumn. Join us for an evening of exceptional Thai cuisine from Punk Thai. Amy Nixon was raised in Thailand and started Punk Thai in 2017, "We draw inspiration from a variety of Asian styles and flavours creating dishes off-the-cuff with a blatant disregard for tradition . Our food is crafted instinctively from experience, not from a rule-book."

https://www.facebook.com/PunkThaiTruro/

Punk Thai has been running events across the county and has built up a dedicated following and we are delighted that its first event in Penzance will be with us at The Exchange.

What to expect

Enjoy an evening viewing of the current exhibitions (Many & Beautiful Things and Fragment24a) and then sit down to a delicious three-course menu. This is a communal dining experience with long trestle tables, so if you wish to sit with friends please get here early.

Spaces are limited to 40 diners with sittings at 6:30, 7:30 and 8:30. As always, we are able to cater for varying dietary requirements, please just let us know in advance.
Ticket sales end three days before the event

The Menu

Hors d'Oeuvres

Papaya Salad (Som Tam)
A staple dish for all Thai ranging from normal spice level (Pet) to extremely spicy (Pet
++++++)! Very much the epitome of Asian sweet and sour, made from shredded papaya, green beans,
tomatoes, dried shrimp, peanuts and a tangent chili lime dressing

Satay Gai
Thai breast of chicken satay marinated in coconut milk, garlic, ginger, fish sauce and light
brown sugar, barbequed and served with peanut sauce and a unique ajar dipping

Entrée

Massaman Gai
Massaman Chicken curry is a comfort dish from southern Thailand. Chicken breast is slow
cooked and infused with cardamom, cinnamon, cloves, galangal, garlic, lemongrass and
served with a basmati rice

Dessert

Khao Niew Ma Muang
Sweet Thai mango with sticky rice served with homemade coconut cream, a pinch of salt
and Cornish clotted ice cream. The rice has been naturally coloured with the extract of Thai
butterfly flowers……..this dish is bursting with flavours!
