Puppetry and Performance Workshop
Overview
Dip your toes into the world of theatre in this puppet making and performance workshop.
Puppetry is the perfect vehicle for imagination and play, not just for for theatre makers but also performers and creatives of all kinds.
In this hands-on, exploratory workshop, develop the initial skills and techniques to make a puppet with recycled materials, then learn how to animate it through movement and work together to design a scene!
Beyond the basic design, you will be encouraged to experiment and make the design your own, creating a unique character for your puppet.
We will provide materials but please do feel free bring along any recycled materials that could be repurposed to make puppets.
If you want to a space to develop your sense of imagination, play and improvisation, you've landed on the right event!
No need to stress about coming solo, there will be plenty of opportunities to connect with fellow attendees through puppetry and performance. This is your opportunity to take some time to craft, connect and self-express. What are you waiting for?
This workshop is open to anyone aged 18-30.
