Description

Purify Your Past: Vajrasattva Retreat

Sat 1 & Sun 2 June | 10am - 4:30pm

with Gen Kelsang Gomchen

Discover the powerful purification practice of Buddha Vajrasattva through which we can let go of negative karmic tendencies created in the past and remove obstacles to our spiritual path.

According to Buddha’s teachings on the law of karma, all problems, unhappiness and negative tendencies come from the ripening of negative karmic potentials on our mind created through our past unskilful actions. Although we cannot change the fact that these actions took place, we can purify the potential for these karmic seeds to give rise to suffering and come to enjoy the happiness of a completely pure mind.

To help living beings to purify their minds completely and swiftly, Buddha taught a special method of purification in conjunction with the practice of the Tantric Deity, Vajrasattva. Through relying upon this method we can free ourself from our burden of negativity and eventually enjoy a completely pure body, mind and world.

This two day retreat will introduce us to the practice and help us become confident to engage in it on our own. Everyone welcome, no previous experience necessary.

To learn more about the practice of Vajrasattva, watch this short video with our General Spiritual Director, Gen-la Kelsang Dekyong: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rlxbAbDU1Jk
