Purpose-Led Business Governance: Roots of Positive Change image

Matt Tipping, Founder, The Good Stream

What is a 'purpose-led' business and why is it important?

The principles and practices on which we govern our organisations is changing fast. Business has been the cause of many of the challenges we now face. It now needs to, and can be part of, the positive and sustainable solution.

In this talk Matt explores the positive research, stories, mindsets, and shifts needed to move our businesses governance to become multi-stakeholder centred. A place where profit and shared value is created to grow and amplify the business purpose for a thriving society and planet.

Chris Budd, Founder, The Eternal Business

The Employee Ownership Trust offers an ownership structure which can be the perfect exit for owners of purpose led businesses. Indeed, it seems such a good fit that many such owners do not prepare their business for the subtle differences that employee ownership brings. Chris Budd explains how employee ownership can be ideal, and the steps to take to ensure a smooth transition.

Nina Davies, Co-founder, Byrd Run Club

From advisory boards to customer connection initiatives, Nina will share her thoughts on how governance will play a critical role in their endeavour to build a product that makes a difference, a team that care and a company that is sustainable. It is an approach to governance that extends beyond the responsibility they have internally to the responsibility they have to their runners, the people they can help who are at the heart of their purpose.
