About this event

  • Event lasts 1 hour

Join us us at the Edventure Hub co-working space for a free workshop, hosted by coach and Hub member Jo Reese.

This free one-hour session will explore how "shadow work" can help you understand yourself better and overcome personal hurdles. Carl Jung, one of the godfathers of psychology, first introduced the concept of the "shadow self." While this workshop is not psychotherapy, it offers practical ways to gain insight and address recurring challenges.

Why might this workshop be for you?

If you've ever found yourself asking:

  • "Why do I keep making the same mistakes?"
  • "Why do I struggle to believe in myself?"
  • "Why don't I make time for the things I truly want to do?"
  • "Why do I say 'yes' when I really mean 'no'?"
  • "Why do I feel inadequate in so many areas?"

...then shadow work may give you valuable insights.

Carl Jung, one of the godfathers of psychology, coined the term "shadow work," and it has since become a very user-friendly way of understanding oneself better. This isn't psychotherapy, though; it's just a very practical way of understanding what's going on and sorting it out. There are tools and approaches you can use in whatever way works for you. Come along and see what it's all about. You will leave with an understanding of your own shadow, how to use the Johari Window to know yourself a bit better, and some practical tools to try out in the safety of your own home.
