Putting homelessness on the global agenda. An estimated 100 million people around the globe are homeless. Mel Young and Peter Barr, authors of Home Game: A Ball Can Change the World, discuss how through the power of sport, the Homeless World Cup continues to transform lives.

MEL YOUNG MBE is a social entrepeneur who is passionate about tackling poverty and ending homelessness around the world. He co-founded the Homeless World Cup in 2003 and under his leadership, the partner network has expanded to over 70 countries, helping to transform the lives of more than one million people. He has set up a number of social enterprises and continues to develop more. He believes sport has the power to change the world and make lasting impact.

PETER BARR is a writer and journalist who now lives in the Highlands of Scotland, after nearly 40 years working in Hong Kong, Singapore and Edinburgh. A Trustee of the Homeless World Cup Foundation, Peter has been involved with the organisation since it was founded, and was its Communications Director in Mexico City in 2012.
