Do you have enthusiasm and an inquiring mind?
Are you keen to share your views and make a difference?
Do you want to extend your network and enhance your leadership skills?
The Scottish Government Public Appointments Team, in collaboration with Changing the Chemistry, would like to invite you to discover more about the benefits of taking on a board role and find out about the opportunities available on the boards of public bodies.
You may never have considered a board position before – but your experience may be invaluable to a variety of organisations. Come along and explore further!
The session will cover:
- the benefits of being on a board and the experiences of those on boards
- the appointment process for public sector boards and the support and help available
- the range of boards looking for people like you and upcoming vacancies
The event will also introduce you to Changing the Chemistry and give you the opportunity to network with like-minded people and explore your questions on diversity and board opportunities.
Please book your place via EventBrite or the Scottish Public Appointments Facebook page by 19 September 2016.
The venue is wheelchair accessible and has an Induction loop. If further assistance is
required or any questions about the event, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org
Changing the Chemistry (CtC) is a charitable voluntary peer support network head-quartered in Scotland that seeks to improve board effectiveness through diversity of thought by helping those from diverse backgrounds secure board roles and by supporting those individuals when they reach the boardroom.
Many of us don’t realise how much we have to offer so even if you are not sure the boardroom is for you, please do come along and learn more. All welcome!
