About the speaker
Simon has worked within the media for over fourteen years, starting as a broadcast journalist in 2011 before later venturing into public and media relations. Having worked at two Cardiff-based agencies, Simon established Paperclip Public & Media Relations in 2017, representing a range of clients from UK utility giants and business support communities to up-and-coming tech start-ups and London-based E-Learning & training companies.
Simon has vast experience in public and media relations, press office management, stakeholder engagement and crisis communications. He was recognised as one of Wales Online’s most promising ‘35 businessmen under 35’ and was awarded the Silver award in the ‘Outstanding Independent Practitioner’ category at the 2018 Chartered Institute of Public Relations Cymru Wales awards, where he was also shortlisted in the ‘Outstanding Young Communicator’ category.
