Event description

Description

QAA Collaborative Cluster:

BEST PRACTICE GUIDELINES FOR SUPPORTING WIDENING PARTICIPATION STUDENTS WITH LECTURE CAPTURE

The aim of the cluster is to develop best practice guidelines for the ways in which institutions can use lecture capture to support widening access. It will also consider how students themselves can use it to support their entry into, and journey through, higher education.

The University of Edinburgh is the lead institution and is collaborating with other HEIs.

In this session we will scope out the beginning of the project. We will have speakers from Edinburgh University Student Union and the University of Glasgow Widening Participation team to discuss what's happening; we will explore definitions of widening participation, equality, diversity, and inclusion; and we will identify sources of evidence within the sector.

Coffee and lunch provided - please note specific dietary requirements as you register.

Two further open meetings will be held:

Meeting 2: Aberdeen 03/04/2020

Meeting 3: Glasgow 15/05/2020
