Overview

A one-hour mindful movement class to help boost energy, relieve stress and feel more balanced

Qi Gong is an ancient Chinese mindful movement practice where we work with our life-force energy to help feel less stressed, more energised, and in greater harmony with ourselves, others and with the rest of nature.

Qi Gong is based on Taoist philosophy and Traditional Chinese Medicine theory. For more information visit Holden QiGong.

The class has 3 main elements: warm-up exercises, flows, and a short meditation to end.

Please bring your own exercise mat, if you have one.

As it is now dark when the class starts if you feel uncomfortable about walking through the park to Inch House - please get in touch and I can arrange to meet you at the park entrance.

If you have a physical or mental health medical condition that might affect your, or other people’s safety or enjoyment, you should take appropriate medical advice and inform me of your condition.

Venue: Inch House Community Centre is located in Inch Park near Cameron Toll. The class will be in the Main Hall, on the 1st floor.

Getting there: car and bicycle parking is available on site, with regular buses to Cameron Toll, Gilmerton Road and Old Dalkeith Road.

About the teacher: Nadine Andrews is a certified Holden QiGong Instructor and has been practising Qi Gong and other Taoist physical arts for 20 years, and has taught mindfulness meditation since completing teacher training in 2013 with Bangor University Centre for Mindfulness Research and Practice in 2013.
