QI: Queer Improv and Hoopla Impro present a free open workshop and show for any improviser who identifies as LGBTQ+. The first hour (7-8pm) is a workshop open to all with no audience, then there's a public show from 8pm. The show is a mix of folks who did the workshop getting up on stage, and QI veterans performing a set.
If you'd like to take part in the workshop, the room will be open from 645; please don't be late as we'll start with a check-in!
Guest Groups:
on April 7th we are joined by the improv group, Thanks for Coming Out as well as a stand-up comedian, Waleed Akhtar!
Accessibility: there is a staircase up to the venue, but Hoopla have a stair climber machine which can help those who need up the stairs. The loos are gendered male/female, but we are happy to find a loo buddy for anyone who would feel more comfortable going with a friend. There are two steps (or a ramp) up to the stage, and standard stage lighting/music. We'll avoid big flashes of light or sharp bursts of music, and pls feel free to touch base about any needs.
