Qigong is a gentle movement and breathwork practice rooted in ancient Chinese medicine and Taoist philosophy, designed to cultivate and balance your life force energy, known as Qi.

In this class, you'll be guided through a combination of gentle movement, breathwork, visualisation, and standing meditation to regulate the body and awaken energy.

We focus on what the Taoists call “core power”—gradually strengthening it to support self-healing, inner balance, and overall vitality.

Qigong is increasingly recognised as a powerful somatic healing practice, helping to regulate the nervous system, release stored tension, and reconnect mind and body.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to have experience with Qigong?

Not at all! All sessions are designed to be accessible for beginners and experienced individuals alike. I guide you through everything at your own pace.

I’m not very flexible or fit. Will I be able to keep up?

Yes. Qigong is not about strength or flexibility — it's about cultivating energy and awareness. The movements are simple, flowing, and designed to meet you where you are.

Is this a spiritual practice?

Qigong has spiritual roots, but this class is focused on personal wellbeing, not religious belief. You’re invited to engage with the energy side of the practice as much or as little as feels right for you.

What’s the difference between Qigong and Yoga?

While both are ancient movement practices that use breath and intention, Qigong is generally simpler, more repetitive, and more focused on energy flow (Qi) rather than stretching or posture. It’s often described as more meditative and restorative.

What’s the Difference Between Qigong and Tai Chi?

Qigong focuses on breath, gentle movement, and energy flow to support physical health and healing. Tai Chi includes similar principles but is more martial, with longer, choreographed sequences rooted in self-defence.
