Start your weekend by gifting yourself (or another!) a mindful movement class, followed by a supportive relaxation session.
Feel the noise of the mind start to fade, the energy flow come back into your body and let the earth hold you in nourishment and replenishment.
-------------------------------------------
Qigong teacher, Nikki Cottrell, is looking forward to welcoming you to this Qigong movement class & relaxation session, being held at The Bedminster Quaker Meeting House.
In this one and a half hour session, you'll practice some late-summer themed qigong movements in an hour long class. Nikki will then guide a relaxation session, which can be enjoyed laying down so that you can let yourself be held & supported by the ground beneath you.
If the weather is good, the Qigong movement practice will take place in the lovely garden area.
The theme of this session will be the Earth element, which in Qigong is the element that is associated with late summer. Earth brings us nourishment, transformation, abundance, an ability to hold our centre.
...........................................................
This session is open to all, everyone is welcome. No prior experience of Qigong or relaxation techinques is needed.
There are 3 ticket levels depending on what you feel you can contribite. The lower being for those on low incomes who would otherwise not be able to attend, the upper level for those who are able to contribute more and wish to support this event being accessible to all.
Please bring a yoga mat or something else comfortable to lie on for the relaxation session. For your comfort, you may also like to bring a pillow or cushion (or more than one!) for your head and a blanket.
Please arrive 10-15 minutes early as we will be setting up our mats and blankets for the relaxation section upon arrival.
See below for the timings of this session and refer to the FAQs for additional information.
