Is Qigong a seated or standing practice?

It can be both! Traditionally Qigong is a standing practice, but I can show you how the movements can be adapted if you find it difficult standing for long periods. There are chairs available at the community centre in the hall we practice in.

Qigong is great for all ages and fitness levels. Although some of the movements do certainly build strength in our muscles, especially our legs, the main emphasis in on harmonising the mind and body through easy to learn gentle movements.

What is the class size?

To make sure everyone has plenty space to practice, I tend to keep the class size to a maximum of 10 at this venue.

What do I need to wear?

Any loose, comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely is great. I would suggest avoiding wearing anything too tight or thick trousers like jeans as this can restrict movement and energy flow.
