QIPS in Physiological Sciences - Awareness and Readiness Session.
Overview
QIPS Awareness & Readiness Session
When: Thursday, 29th January 2026
Where: Online via MS Teams
Overview
This online session brings together colleagues across Physiological Sciences to support awareness, readiness and shared learning around IQIPS (Improving Quality in Physiological Services).
Following the successful South East Physiological Sciences (SE-PS) Network–led Safe Learning Environment Charter (SLEC) event, the SE-PS Network is continuing its programme of quality and service development by hosting this IQIPS Awareness and Readiness Session. While led by the SE-PS Network, the event is open to Physiological Sciences colleagues across the UK, and we welcome participation from all regions and specialties.
The session is designed to be practical, realistic and supportive, recognising that services are at different stages of the IQIPS journey.
What to expect if you attend
Participants can expect:
- An overview of IQIPS and readiness considerations, including what services often underestimate
- Input from UKAS, providing perspective on the accreditation process and common themes
- Short case examples from services currently engaged in IQIPS, including early-stage learning and recent applications
- Honest reflections on challenges, lessons learned and enablers
- Opportunities to ask questions and learn from peers
- Signposting to regional and national support, including how the SE-PS Network can be used as a shared learning platform
The session is suitable whether your service is considering IQIPS, actively preparing, or already engaged in the process.
Further details, including the final agenda, confirmed timings and joining link, will be shared with registered attendees closer to the event.
