About this event

Health • Other

Come and join us for an immersive and empowering Qoya inspired movement class. Exploring how music and movement can help us connect with and nourish our mind, body and spirit.

Qoya is based on the idea that through movement we remember, that like nature, we are wise, wild and free!

You will be invited to explore the class theme through a combination of breath, meditation, yoga, free movement, community sharing and dance.

We will start the class with some grounding breaths and intention setting, followed by a carefully curated playlist that will help us journey inwards, to quieten the mind, reconnect with our body, notice what feels good and find our flow.

There are no levels in Qoya and no experience is required. There is no way you can do it wrong and the way you know you’re doing it right is when it feels right to you!

It’s likely to be unlike anything you have experienced, yet intuitively feel familiar to your mind, body and soul.

Please bring;

  • Water bottle,
  • Yoga mat if you have selected to bring one
  • Cushion or blanket if you would like this when sitting/laying on a mat (chairs are available for anyone who would prefer)

Please arrive with a few minutes to settle and get comfortable before we start at 7.30pm.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need any experience in dance, yoga or meditation?

No Qoya is suitable for everyone, all shapes and sizes and all levels of fitness. You don’t need to have any experience in dance, yoga or meditation.

Do I need my own yoga mat?

No. Vicky will have yoga mats for you to borrow, however you are welcome to bring your own if you wish.

Is Qoya difficult?

The great thing about Qoya is it’s all about what feels good for you. It is not about following routines or moves it’s about exploring your own movement and sensations with curiosity and freedom, without judgement.
