Event description

Description

The Quaker Mental Health Forum is an annual day conference, giving Friends the opportunity to come together to explore and share. This year we focus on mental health and young people.

Grounded in our faith, we will share experiences and ideas. The day will include worship, workshops, sharing in small groups and creative responses. We will hear from Friends who have direct experience - from young people, parents, professionals, Quaker chaplains and others.

The programme will be sent out to people who have booked, shortly before the event.

Everyone is welcome.

We ask every Area Meeting to consider sending and supporting a representative(s)

Please note that the day will not be suitable for people aged under 15; we suggest people under 18 should come with a supportive adult. We will not be offering any activities for children during the day.

Drinks will be provided; please bring your own lunch.

We will gather from 10.00 and the sessions will start at 10.30.

There is no charge.

The Forum is funded by the Retreat Benevolent Fund: www.retreatyorkbfund.com We invite you (or your Area Meeeting) to consider if you can make a small donation towards the cost: https://mydonate.bt.com/charities/theretreatyorkbenevolentfund

There are good public transport links to The Priory Rooms; it is only a short walk from New Street station. There is some parking, which we will reserve for people who have limited mobility. Please contact Alison Mitchell to book a parking space: alisonmitchellmhdo@theretreatyork.org.uk
