Event description

Description

The Quaker Mental Health Forum is an annual day conference, exploring different aspects of mental health from a Quaker perspective.

This year we will be discussing mental health in community: we will be exploring the impact of community on mental health, considering what makes a healthy community and reflecting on our Quaker witness in creating spiritual connections within community.

There will be a panel of Friends sharing their personal experiences, workshops exploring different aspects of community and repsonse groups, giving space for reflection. The day will be framed by worship.

Everyone is welcome.

We invite Area Meetings to send a representative.

The Forum is funded by the Retreat Benevolent Fund, a small Quaker mental health charity. The Fund gives grants to Friends to enable access to therapy or other support and supports Quaker led mental health projects. Find out more on www.retreatyorkbfund.com

There is no charge to people attending the Forum. We ask everyone who can to make a donation to the Benevolent Fund. If you (or your Area Meeting) make a donation of £10 you will be helping our work to develop. Please follow this link: https://www.wonderful.org/charity/theretreatyorkbenevolentfund
