About this event

Community • Heritage

In the darkest years of the 1840s, Ireland was devastated by hunger and hardship. The Quakers stepped forward with a remarkable relief effort providing seed for crops, clothing, soup kitchens, and practical aid that made a real difference in people’s survival.
This talk, led by Rob Goodbody, explores the wider Quaker response across Ireland, with particular examples from Tyrone and surrounding parishes.
