Friends Who Are Going
Event description

Description

A selection of the 77 Quaker tapestry panels will be on display at Friends House, opposite Euston station.

Over 350 years of Quaker history and current work are brought to life in 21 vibrant embroidered panels. This free exhibition is open Monday to Saturday, 10am to 4pm. Late night Thursdays until 8pm.

An embroidery taster workshop will be available at this roadshow. Learn the six stitches that are used in the Quaker Tapestry and take home your very own stitched sampler. To book on the workshop go to: www.quaker-tapestry.co.uk/event/london-roadshow-half-day-taster-workshop/

The Quaker Tapestry began as a project to brighten up the children's room – little did they know then that it would brighten up many a room! Since the late 1980s the Tapestry panels have been all over Britain, as well as to some parts of America, France, Ireland and many others.

Accessibility

We would like Friends House to be accessible and welcoming to all. The building was constructed in 1926 and its Grade II listing means that there are certain access limitations, however we are committed to doing all we can to ensure your visit is as easy and enjoyable as possible. Further information about access arrangements can be found at: www.friendshouse.co.uk/accessibility.

Event organised by North West London Area Quaker Meeting, Quaker Tapestry and Britain Yearly Meeting.
