A new Curriculum for Wales signals a chance to rethink future qualifications for 16-year-olds.

Independent regulator Qualifications Wales is launching a consultation to look at how to complement this new curriculum by designing qualifications that go beyond demonstrating knowledge and skills. The aim is to introduce globally respected qualifications that inspire and prepare people for life, learning and work.

How might qualifications inspire ambition, creativity and curiosity? How could they help build confidence and offer a brighter future for our young people?

In this unique event, expert speakers will share their insights on the possibilities to create the right qualifications for the next generation.

As delegates, you will participate in workshop discussions which will help shape the debate and inform the consultation.

Mae Cwricwlwm newydd i Gymru yn gyfle i ailfeddwl am gymwysterau’r dyfodol i bobl ifanc 16 oed.

Mae’r rheoleiddiwr annibynnol, Cymwysterau Cymru, yn lansio ymgynghoriad i edrych ar sut mae cymwysterau yn gallu cefnogi’r cwricwlwm newydd trwy ddylunio cymwysterau sy’n mynd y tu hwnt i brofi dealltwriaeth a sgiliau. Y nod yw cyflwyno cymwysterau sy’n cael eu parchu ar draws y byd, sy’n ysbrydoli ac yn paratoi pobl ar gyfer bywyd, dysgu a gwaith.

Sut gallai cymwysterau ysbrydoli uchelgais, creadigrwydd a chwilfrydedd? Sut gallent helpu i fagu hyder a chynnig dyfodol mwy disglair i'n pobl ifanc?

Yn y digwyddiad unigryw hwn, bydd siaradwyr arbenigol yn rhannu eu syniadau ar sut i greu cymwysterau addas ar gyfer y genhedlaeth nesaf.

Fel cynrychiolwyr, byddwch yn cael cyfle i gymryd rhan mewn gweithdai a fydd yn helpu i lunio’r drafodaeth a llywio’r ymgynghoriad.

Ynglŷn â Cymwysterau Cymru

Mae dysgwyr wrth wraidd yr hyn y mae Cymwysterau Cymru yn ei wneud. Gan weithio gydag ystod eang o sefydliadau, rydym yn monitro cyrff dyfarnu, yn adolygu ac yn diwygio cymwysterau presennol ac yn cefnogi’r system gymwysterau.
