Event description
These advice clinics have been set up to help to respond to qualitative research study related queries from within PenARC and the IHR.

About this event

COVID-19 update:

Following advice issued to all University of Exeter staff to work remotely where possible, we will endeavour to offer virtual clinic appointments via Microsoft Teams for all future dates until further notice.

What?

These advice clinics have been set up to help to respond to qualitative research study related queries from within PenARC and the Institute for Health Research. Whether you are a postgraduate student, an academic or a researcher who has a query about any phase of a qualitative project from design to writing up, you can book an appointment to speak with someone from the College of Medicine and Health with general expertise in qualitative research who can advise and signpost. The clinics consist of 30-minute appointments with up to two advisors. To gain the most from the clinic, please focus on questions about one or two specific elements of your study on which you would like advice. These sessions are not suitable for very broad or general questions about qualitative research, nor are they a substitute for PhD supervision. If you are unable to attend a session in Exeter please get in touch with Linda Dumchen.

When?

The clinics will be held approximately once every six weeks.

Where and how long?

The clinics will take place online via Microsoft Teams and will consist of 30-minute appointments.

Unable to attend?

If you are unable to attend, please let  Linda Dumchen know no later than 24 hours in advance so that someone on the waiting list can attend in your place.
