Quantitative Research Methods: Advanced statistics: regression techniques
Overview
Regression is a prediction technique which estimates the likelihood of an outcome, such as house ownership, using other predictors such as educational qualifications, income, gender etc. This session will provide an overview of how to conduct linear, logistic, and multi-nominal regression on SPSS software. Students will learn:
· When to use regression
· What type of regression to use for different types of data
· The assumptions of each type of regression
· How to perform regression on SPSS
· How to interpret regression
· How to write up the results of the regression in the context of the sample used, paying attention to bias.
· Introduction to missing data bias
We will also touch on Poisson regression and issues of missing data and resources for handling this.

Byddwn hefyd yn cyfeirio at atchweliad Poisson a phroblemau o ran data anghyflawn ac adnoddau i fynd i'r afael â hyn.
