An afternoon of research discussions and presentations. A great way to meet other doctoral researchers at the University and to develop your research skills and knowledge.
In this session we welcome students to present their research and get helpful, supportive and friendly feedback from their peers. This is a great opportunity to practice presentations for conferences or just practice talking about you research. If you don't want to present, come along and listen to the great work that your colleagues are doing at the University.
The January research day will focus on public speaking and will include a session facilitated by doctoral candidate Rebecca Ball around how to articulate your doctorate in three minutes and concise and profession communication. This session will help to improve public speaking through a variety of different techniques given to Rebecca during a session at Cumberland Lodge. In this session we will go through these different techniques which can help to make presentations stand out and be more engaging for the audience.
