Quay to Growth Business Breakfast Series: Food Energetics
Thu 26 January 2017, 07:45 – 09:15 GMT
Join us for our third business breakfast of the academic year where Robert Ellis from the Faculty of Health and Science will be talking to us about "Energy in versus energy out: Is the obesity epidemic a problem for physics not biology?"
During this session Robert will explore briefly the energy content of food, perhaps exposing some contradictions between popular opinion and scientific fact. Low energy food is not necessarily the same as health food! He will then explore the equally surprising world of energy expenditure and differences between where we think our energy is used during the day and where it actually goes.
The Quay to Growth Business Breakfast Series provides an opportunity to hear some unique insights into leadership, management, innovation and enterprise from academic staff across a variety of disciplines. As well as giving you the opportunity to join our emergent enterprise network and engage with a higher education provider to really support the growth of your enterprise.
Our Business Breakfast series this academic year is sponsored by Ensors and their staff will be available to discuss any requirements you may have.
At each of our events there will be a presentation by a member of the University of Suffolk academic staff, an opportunity for Q&A’s and business and HE enquiries, as well as informal networking.
