Quay to Growth Business Breakfast Series: Sportsmanship to Businessmanship
Join us and hear from Dr Tom Vine from our Suffolk Business School present "From sportsmanship to 'businessmanship': a fresh approach to business ethics"
Building on research conducted with our students here at Suffolk Business School, I explore the potential for the concept of sportsmanship as a guide to ethical conduct in business. Building on Aristotle's argument that effective ethical conduct comes through the experiential cultivation of moral character (rather than by recourse to an abstract moral calculus), the concept of sportsmanship provides an intellectually accessible and culturally relevant exemplar from which guidance can be drawn into the realm of business and management.
The Quay to Growth Business Breakfast Series provides an opportunity to hear some unique insights into leadership, management, innovation and enterprise from academic staff across a variety of disciplines. As well as giving you the opportunity to join our emergent enterprise network and engage with a higher education provider to really support the growth of your enterprise.
Our Business Breakfast series this academic year is sponsored by Ensors and their staff will be available to discuss any requirements you may have.
At each of our events there will be a presentation by a member of UCS academic staff, an opportunity for Q&A’s and business and HE enquiries, as well as informal networking.
