Description

*TICKETS: proof of a valid UCL ID is required to attend the event.

The Queen Square Students’ Committee is proud to invite you to the 2017 Queen Square Symposium.

The morning will begin with poster sessions followed by an afternoon composed of stimulating talks. The first talk will be given by Dr Edward Wild, a consultant Neurologist at Queen Square who specialises in Huntington's Disease research http://edwild.com/ . This will be followed by 3 PhD student platform talks. Finally, the 2014 Nobel Prize winner John O’Keefe will close the symposium as our keynote speaker

We encourage all student to attend and present a poster.
This is an opportunity to practice for future vivas and conferences in a friendly environment. Moreover, you will have the chance to learn about the broad range of research conducted in Queen Square and to not only meet fellow QS students but also potential supervisors or collaborators. The best posters will receive cash prizes.

The abstract submission has started and will close on 21th April and the poster submission ends on the 12th of May.

To submit your abstract, you can email it to: qscommittee@gmail.com

If you are a PhD student submitting an abstract, please let us know if you would like to be considered for a 15min platform talk in the afternoon.

While only students are invited to present a poster, all staff, PIs and post-docs from Queen Square are welcome to attend!

We are aware that most of students may have little results at this time, especially Master’s students. But don’t worry, write an abstract based on what you plan to do and please submit whatever you can!
