Illustrated history of Queen's Park and the streets around it

About this event

From the exciting beginning of Queen's park as the Royal Agricultural Showground to the present hub for recreation and nature, we will follow the history of the part and the surrounding streets, bringing to life its Victorian heritage, historic architecture and fascinating personalities who contributed to the development of the area. The talk will be lavishly illustrated with historic images, maps and present day photographs.

Developed and presented by is Irina Porter, Blue Badge London guide with a life long passion for local history. Irina is Chair and Journal Editor of the Willesden Local History Society.

This talk is part of Being Brent – Heritage for Health and Wellbeing, a project funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund and delivered by Brent Museum and Archives.
