Event description

Description

With Professor Alison Oram (Leeds Beckett University).

Research exploring LGBTQ life and community in four cities (Manchester, Brighton, Plymouth and Leeds) since 1965 found very different urban queer cultures. Discussing bedsits in Brighton, communal households in Leeds and gay gentrification in Manchester, this talk will show how the distinct character of LGBTQ politics in each city has shaped its queer domestic lives.
