Event description

Description

Queer Champions is a series of black and white portraits of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans, Queer individuals in Scotland who are celebrities, artists,

activists, campaigners, community workers, or ‘unsung heroes’ .

Queer Champions will have national and international significance as it capture the richness and diversity of a Scottish community.

Ajamu will also be taking group and single shots in colour for the Equality Network to use on their website and in their publications. Sitters are welcome but not obliged to sit for these additional photographs.

Mel from the Equality Network will be filming some of the shoot for a promotional video for the exhibition and sitters are welcome to be interviewed on camera for a short training film for service providers.

The photographic shoots will take place in the last week of June at Street Level Photoworks, Glasgow

The images we would like to create will be head and shoulders only. We are asking the sitters to wear dark, plain colours and what they feel comfortable in. Each session will take about 1 hour.

Participation is voluntary, however as a thank you for your contribution Ajamu will be giving each sitter digital versions of their image (and any Equality Network photographs if applicable).
