Frequently asked questions

Are there many plug sockets?

Yes there are plenty on the table that we meet at and across the cafe!

Can I bring my own food?

No sorry, but the cafe has a fantastic range of food and drinks and you get 10% off if you show your Queer Hive ticket at checkout!

Is there a quiet space?

This is a cafe with other customers so we cant guarantee the noise. There is no background music playing in the cafe space.

Where are Queer Hive located in the cafe?

We have a long table table reserved to the right of the checkout space by the big curved glass window. Look out for the LGBTQIA+ flags!

Do people actually get stuff done or is it mainly chatting?

This totally depends on what you’re looking for! There are some that put their headphones in and crack on with their work. Others like to have little chats and network in between working blocks. We’d say come along and see for yourself!

Is it okay to put headphones in?

Yes! You can do whatever you like, there are no expectations to socialise if you don’t feel like it.

Can I bring my dog?

This venue only accepts guide dogs.

What seating options are there?

There are individual chairs without armrests with curved back rests.
