About this event
Join Project 93 for an unforgettable evening where creativity and community come together! We're transforming our space into a dynamic hub of activity by hosting two incredible events at the same time, and we encourage you to try both.
This is your chance to meet new people, get creative, and be part of two very special projects in a relaxed, informal, and safe space.
What's Happening in the Hub?
🎨 Activity 1: Queer Craft & The Future of Stoke
Unwind, get creative, and make your voice heard at our much-loved Queer Craft session.
- Unleash Your Inner Artist: Enjoy a fun, still life painting session. No artistic skill is required—the focus is on having fun and connecting with the community! We provide all the materials.
- Enjoy Free Pizza & Connect: Grab a slice and connect with fellow members of the LGBTQ+ community in a safe, welcoming space.
- Shape Our City's Future: This session is the official targeted event for the LGBTQ+ community as part of the city-wide One Stoke-on-Trent campaign. It's your direct line to influence policy and share your ideas for a more inclusive city. You don't need a fully-formed plan; your personal experience is just as valuable.

📸 Activity 2: The LGBT+ Lives Portrait Project
Help preserve our community's history in this powerful workshop, run in collaboration with Grain Photography Hub and the OLGBT+ Peoples Group.
- Share Your Unique Story: Bring along family albums, old photographs, or memorabilia that tell your story. Your personal story is all you need to participate.
- Sit for a Portrait: Have your portrait taken by a photographer to be included in this landmark project.
- Become Part of History: Your stories and portraits will contribute to a new local archive, leading to a future exhibition and publication.

Booking is essential! The event is completely free to attend, but please book a ticket so we know how many canvases to provide for the painting session and, of course, how much pizza to order!
