Celebrate the August Bank Holiday with a soul-stirring afternoon of rhythm, movement, and queer joy. This drumming experience is lovingly created by and for Queer, Trans, and Gender-Nonconforming people.
Whether you’ve drummed before or are trying it for the first time, you’re welcome here. We’ll co-create a space where rhythm becomes a tool for healing, self-expression, connection—and pure joy.
🌿 Why Drumming?
Drumming is a powerful practice for wellbeing and embodiment. Research shows that group drumming can reduce stress, release tension, boost mood, and even support immune function. It helps regulate the nervous system, releases endorphins, and invites you into deep presence.
It reconnects us with our bodies, our breath, and each other. For Queer, Trans, and GNC folks, drumming is a way to return to self—free from judgment, full of expression, and surrounded by community that sees and honours you.
🪘 What to Expect:
- Grounding welcome circle to open the space
- Group drumming session (instruments provided or bring your own)
- Gentle movement, rhythm play, and connection
- A sensory-friendly, inclusive environment with a rest zone
- Optional space for reflection, sharing, and simply being
💖 Who is it for?
This space is exclusively for the LGBTQIA+ community, especially Trans, Non-Binary, Gender-Nonconforming, and Queer folks. No experience needed. No expectations. Just come as you are.
All identities, expressions, and bodies are honoured.All levels welcome—from the rhythm-curious to the drum-devoted.
