Queer Film Screening: We Have Rather Been Invaded
Event Information
About this Event
As part of LGBTQ History month, we are screening 'We Have Rather Been Invaded', a 40-minute documentary video made by artist Ed Webb-Ingall. The film looks at the legacy of Section 28, the role of activism and our understanding of this piece of legislation. It is made up of archival materials and interviews with those affected by Section 28.
Section 28 (1988) was a law that made it illegal for teachers to "promote" any aspect of homosexuality in schools. It was repealed in Scotland on the 21st June 2000.
