Queering Professional Boundaries in Counselling

A workshop facilitating an inclusive, innovative exploration of the intersection between boundaries and identity.

Date: 31st May 2025

Time: 10am - 12.30pm

Location: The Wilbury Clinic

This workshop will be of particular relevance to those with lived experience of marginalization, though you do not have to identify as Queer / LGBTQIA+ to attend! It is open to counsellors, health and wellbeing practitioners and allied professions.

Appropriate boundaries are vital, but are 'strong' boundaries always a virtue? Who and what gets excluded when our professional norms are framed in white/cis/het/able-bodied/affluent assumptions?

This workshop will support you to question your own boundaries, and to perhaps adjust them so that they are better aligned to your and your clients' needs.
