A new 6 week course starting on Wednesday 11 January until 15 February at Pear Tree Library 2 to 4pm.
This quilting course is aimed at beginners Patchwork and Quilting handwork.
Own materials need to be provided.
Greta Fitchett is an award winning quilt maker, and well known in quilting circles and is a qualified quilt judge.
Greta has taught in adult education for 25 years, and now teaches groups for the Quilters Guild and the Women's Institute. She designs and write projects for the UK patchwork magazines and has 2 books published.
About the course:
Patchwork is an economical pastime as few materials and tools are needed to get started, and it can be a useful way of recycling clothes. It is relaxing and a great occupation for winter evenings.
We will work by hand, making small items that can brighten up your home, or make a gift for a friend.
The class will be taught in easy to follow stages, and supported by examples of projects that can be made.
You will need to bring with you:
small hand scissors
hand sewing needle
2 cotton fabrics
