Raul was born into a musical family his father played various instruments
Piano,Trumpet ,Portuguese Guitar and Accordion his mother today at the age of 96 still plays a mean Harmonica

It was his elder brother Jaime’s piano lessons that influenced Raul to learn Music at the Conservatoire of Music in Lisbon one of the most prestigious Music institute in Portugal.
Raul studied the Cello, Piano and Trumpet ,and his teacher told him never to deviate from the classical as other styles with very much interfere and hampered his classical tone?
(an advice that Raul did not take to heart ,and soon Pop and Jazz became also part of Raul’s discography.

At the age of 13 Raul played the Double Bass in his Father’s Band and got Played as the others. At the age of 14 Raul won a scholarship to study Trumpet at the Calouste Gulbenkian Institute
. At the age of 17 Raul auditioned and got the place of first Trumpet with the first Youth Symphony Orquestra in Lisbon.

With his brother Jaime they formed a very successful group called 6a Reação they recorded toured and were featured on `national television quite regularly.
Love brought Raul to the UK where his future wife was born and being the only daughter they decided to get married in England
. The intentions of going back to Portugal never materialised as at a Friends invitation Raul and his wife went to see her show in the West End and in the middle of the concert she invited Raul on stage with his trumpet to perform a couple of tunes with her, the audience response was wild with a standing ovation and the following day Raul had an invitation to be a regular Band member in that Club.

Raul begun to be invited to Record and perform with many artists to mention a few:-
Mike Oldfield, Elaine Delmar, Anita Harris, Joan Armatrading , Mica Paris, Wet Wet Wet, Pee Wee Elis, Check Low, Kulla Shaker, Matt Bianco, Studio Collaboration with the Amazing Marvin Gay, Gil Evans .
Raul also joined latin groups as Cayene MD Robert Greenfield, Roberto Pla ensemble, Sonido the Londres MD Stan Rivera Onward International MD Dave Bitelli .
Recorded and Toured extensively with Petula Clark (18 years) MD Kenny Clayton, The 3 Degrees, Joe Jackson, Terrence Trent D’Arby, Gloria Gaynor, Wham George Michael, Elton John with Melbourne Symphony Orquestra Maestro James Newton-Howard, Dreams Come True Japonese Group, Cliff Richard.

Raul has Recorded and toured with many Gospel Artist :-Dave Fellingham, Chris Bowater, Jonathan Viera, Martin Smith (Delirious) Graham Kendrick to name but a few ...
Raul has also recorded many Programmes Of SONGS OF PRAISE where he is featured quite regularly Raul has also recorded a CD under his own name “Let The Trumpet Sound” with the collaboration of the amazingly Creative Jazz Pianist Mark Edwards.
Raul is the MD of a lively Big Band Jetstream Jazz ,t hey have a varied and exciting Repertoire.

Terry studied piano and violin from a young age and graduated with a music degree from Sussex University in 1980 which included a year of exchange at The Eastman School of Music, NYC USA.

In 1982 he joined jazz funk group Hipnosis and in1985 he began to work as pianist with American Jazz singer Joe Lee Wilson and toured Europe and the Middle East.Subsequently he became active on the UK jazz scene working as sideman to many visiting Americans (Jimmy Witherspoon, Sonny Stitt, Harry Edison, Joe Newman, Bernard Purdie).

From 2000 Terry was at the forefront of Latin music performing with his own band (Cubana Bop) as well as with many other names in Latin music, (Pucho and the Latin Soul Brothers, Snowboy) at Clubs and Festivals all over Britain and Europe (Edinburgh Festival, Jazz Cafe, Hot Brass - France, Galaxy- Amsterdam). Cubana Bop has recorded "Can't Stop Now" and “Now Hear This” on TSM records and “The Story So Far” for TCB records (Switzerland). In 2012 Cubana Bop toured with 2 singers performing Terry’s Latin arrangements of music from West Side Story.

In 2011 Terry formed the sextet Milestones to perform music by Miles Davis (including Kind of Blue) as well as an original suite – Sketches of Miles. The band still performs with a current line-up of Alan Barnes, Spike Wells, Martin Shaw, Andy Panayi, Paul Whitten and Terry.

Originally from Uruguay but a long term resident in the UK since the late seventies. A self taught musician, he is known for his contribution to the Latin American music scene and Jazz Dance/Acid Jazz scene in London, especially in the late eighties and nineties.

He went on to be awarded a a grant to study at the Guildhall School of music and since then he has performed at the following venues: Montreux Jazz Festival, North Sea Jazz Festival, Capetown Jazz Festival, Jakarta Jazz Festival, Roskilde, Central Park NYC, Blue Note Hawaii, Blue Note Japan, Heineken Festival Beijing, Yoshis San Francisco,

RFH London, Albert Hall, Glastonbury, Womad, plus other glamorous and seedy venues. He has never played in a West End Musical.

With: Airto Moreira, Snowboy, Charlie Palmieri, Roberto Pla, Jon Cleary, Grand Union Orchestra, Da Lata, Basia, Matt Bianco, Negrocan, Rowland Sutherland, Monica Vasconcelos, Smoke City, Robin Jones, Cubana Bop, Conjunto Sabroso, Olumo, Joanna Eden, Cruzeiro do Sul, Samara, The Republic, Mike Lindup, Annie Whitehead, Arakatuba, Danny Adler, amongst others.

Tristan Banks has worked as a recording artist and session musician building a reputation as a knowledgeable, versatile and authentic world-class drummer and percussionist. Working with many artists covering a wide field of musical genres including Roy Ayers, Steve Winwood, Dave Valentin, Beverley Knight, Hexagonal, David Gilmour, Peter King, Lewis Taylor, Guy Barker, Marcos Valle, Liane Carroll, Terry Callier, Da Lata, Jim Mullen, Carleen Anderson and Mayra Andrade.
