About this event
Quip Shed Comedy is excited to continue to host its monthly comedy gig at The Old Cranleighan Club in Thames Ditton on the last Friday of every month.
For June, we have an incredible line-up, featuring Rachel Jackson, Harry Monaghan, Jasmine Gleeson, host Jamie Allerton, and our amazing headliner Ahir Shah!
Our opener, Rachel Jackson, is an award winning Scottish comedian. She has appeared on The Stand Up Sketch Show and The Comedy Underground, and is a a panelist on BBC Radio Scotland's Breaking The News. She has also written three solo shows and performed everywhere from the UK, Berlin, Beijing, NYC, Tokyo and LA. Rachel has written and performed sketches for BBC Scotland, BBC Writers Room and Channel 4.

Harry Monaghan is a British stand-up comedian, born and raised in London. He reached the final of 2Northdown's New Act of the Year in 2019 and has gone on to gig up and down the UK and abroad. He is also the host of 'Baking Bad', the number one Great British Bake Off podcast (yep, that's not a joke), and co-host of smash hit podcast 'The Weekly Shop'.
Jasmin Gleeson is originally from Dublin and has quickly made moves on the London comedy circuit with her charming demeanor and playful writing style. She was a semi-finalist in the Cherry Comedy Breakout Act of the Year Competition 2020 and a finalist in the Stand-Up & Be Funny competition, as seen on The Ray D’Arcy Show RTE.
Our headliner, Ahir Shah, is a double Edinburgh Comedy Award ‘Best Show’ nominee and one of the fastest-rising comedians of his generation.
Ahir is a regular on television and radio and has appeared on Live At The Apollo, The Now Show, Stand Up Central, Have I Got News For You, Frankie Boyle’s New World Order, Mock the Week, The Mash Report/Late Night Mash, Guessable, Rob Beckett’s Undeniable and Catastrophe.
Ahir’s 2019 show, 'Dots', completely sold out at the Edinburgh Fringe and toured the UK ahead of an international release on US streaming platform HBO Max. Ahir is currently on UK tour with his latest show 'Dress'. Internationally, Ahir has played to sell out audience at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, the Adelaide Fringe and Just for Laughs Montreal, and has toured in continental Europe and India.
An in-demand writer, Ahir has written on shows including The Mash Report/Late Night Mash and Mock the Week, has written and starred in the short films Ahir Shah’s Summer (Sky) and Ahir Shah’s Life Lessons (BBC Three), and has developed two sitcom pilots with Channel 4.
We cannot wait to see you there!
